Taijuan Walker’s day was over in what seemed like the blink of an eye, a breezy, three-inning outing in which he threw strikes, threw hard and recorded outs. It hardly could have gone better for the Diamondbacks’ new right-hander.
March is not even a week old, the Diamondbacks have played barely 10 games and most of the club’s rotation candidates have made just two starts. In other words, it is far too early to draw conclusions.
But the early returns have been promising, with several of the Diamondbacks' starters generating enough in the way of both results and pure stuff to create hope that their rotation might be in line for major improvement.
