Diamondbacks Sign Albert Almora and Kyle Garlick to Minor League Deals

On Friday, the Arizona Diamondbacks announced the signing of outfielders Albert Almora and Kyle Garlick to minor league contracts, with both players receiving invitations to spring training.

Albert Almora, selected 6th overall by the Chicago Cubs in the 2012 draft, made his major league debut in 2016. Over his career, he has spent five seasons with the Cubs, one with the New York Mets, and most recently, one with the Cincinnati Reds.

During his last season in Cincinnati, Almora achieved a .223 batting average over 64 games. His standout season was in 2018, where he notched 127 hits and scored 62 runs.
