The trade market is heating up around the majors, but the Diamondbacks have remained mostly quiet, their only moves this month involving extra outfielder Tim Locastro and backup catcher Stephen Vogt.
That is expected to change prior to Friday’s 1 p.m. (Arizona time) trade deadline, and manager Torey Lovullo said he is trying not to make too much of it inside the clubhouse.
“How we’re dealing with it is we’ve embraced it,” Lovullo said. “We know that it’s there. We’ve talked about it. But let’s make sure that we’re blocking it out and not letting that black noise bog us down from 7 to 10 o’clock.
