Diamondbacks’ Offense Falls Flat, Causing Third Consecutive Loss to the Phillies

For just the second time this season, the Diamondbacks have lost three in a row, as they were defeated by the Phillies with a final score of 5-4 to wrap up the four game series.

Rookie Ryne Nelson was pushed out of the game early by a red-hot Phillies offense. Nelson threw just four innings, allowing five earned runs on ten hits.

After the Phillies jumped out to a 3-0 lead, the Diamondbacks responded with a four-run bottom of the third. It was a Ketel Marte three-run homer that put the snakes on top.
