(AAA) Reno Aces 3, Iowa Cubs 1: Joel Payamps would hold off the Cubs to just a solo homer over 7 innings, allowing just 1 hit and struck out 1. Reno’s offense could only muster up one run in 8 innings, on an Alberto Rosario RBI single in the 4th. Marc Rzepczynski would pitch a scoreless 8th before Reno would take the lead in the bottom half of the inning. After an error and a single put two runners on, Rosario would hit another single to CF and a fielding error would allow a second run to score on the play.
