After being asked about it nearly every day, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo on Friday formally announced his five-man starting rotation.
Lovullo had already named right-hander Zack Greinke as his Opening Day starter, but prior to Arizona’s Cactus League game against the Dodgers at Camelback Ranch-Glendale, he also named his other four starters – left-handers Robbie Ray and Patrick Corbin and right-handers Taijuan Walker and Shelby Miller.
Right-hander Archie Bradley, who had been vying for a starting role, was told by the manager on Friday that he would start the season in the bullpen as the Diamondbacks’ long reliever.
