There’s no denying, the Diamondbacks schedule has been a real bear so far. In fact, the team has currently played more games against opponents at or above .500, than anyone else in the major leagues. They have taken part in 35 such contests, so almost two-thirds of their contests have been against teams with playoff hopes. You may think it’s a result of playing in the NL West, but that isn’t the case - or, at least, it doesn’t apply to the other teams in the division. The Dodgers have played fewer than half as many such games (16), with the Giants (24) and Padres (26) also well behind.
