After being designated for assignment in September last year, longtime Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed has now found a new organization to play for in 2024.
According to The Athletics journalist Andrew Baggarly, Ahmed is joining the D’Backs’ NL West Division foes in the San Francisco Giants on a minor league contract.
“The Giants announced SS Nick Ahmed has signed a minor league contract and been invited to major league camp,” Baggarly said.
There is a difference between addressing a need and filling it.
