Diamondbacks-Dodgers Game Day: Greinke leaves with 8-1 lead

Zack Greinke was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the bottom of the sixth inning and with the Diamondbacks ahead 8-1. Greinke held the Dodgers to four hits and one earned run in six innings, while striking out six and walking two. He also threw four wild pitches.

Greinke is in line to win his 16th game of the season, which would make him for the moment, the winningest pitcher in the major leagues.

The D-Backs tacked on another run in the bottom of the fifth on Daniel Descalso’s RBI single scored J.D. Martinez.

Turning Dodgers Blue

The Diamondbacks have roughed up Dodgers’ starter Kenta Maeda for eight hits and a 7-1 lead after three innings.
