In todays ball game the Arizona Diamondbacks had their way with the Giants in a 7-1 victory, sweeping their two game set. Arizona boosted their record with the win to 81-72, and also moving up a whole game over the Chicago Cubs in the Wildcard.

The Diamondbacks had Merrill Kelly on the hill today to start things off, and he dominated in total Merrill Kelly fashion. Kelly threw six and two-thirds innings, allowing just three hits, one earned run, one walk and punched out five hitters.
