Diamondbacks’ Chase Anderson Goes on the Disabled List

The woes of the Arizona Diamondbacks have not been contained to the field. Pitcher Chase Anderson was placed on the 15-day disabled list with what is being called right triceps inflammation, according to Jake Rill at mlb.com. Anderson said that he was feeling “little fatigued in that area”. The plan is for him to rest for a week before beginning to throw a ball. The 27-year old right-hander was having a fine season up until about mid-June. Over his last five starts, Anderson allowed 26 earned runs in 31 2/3 innings, including his shortest outing Friday night in which he lasted just 3 2/3 innings, surrendering seven runs on ten hits.
