Diamondbacks acquire reliever Robby Scott from Reds

The Diamondbacks acquired left-handed reliever Robby Scott from the Cincinnati Reds for cash considerations on Sunday.

Robby Scott has made 73 relief appearances for the Red Sox over the past three seasons before the Reds picked him up off waivers on Dec. 10. He is 3-2 with a 3.91 ERA in 48 1/3 innings and 44 strikeouts.

Last season, he allowed six runs in 6 2/3 innings in nine appearances for Boston.

Scott, 29, is familiar with Arizona, having played for the Yuma Scorpions in the independent Arizona Winter League before the Red Sox signed him in 2011.
