Diamondbacks 7, Dodgers 3: That’s the way to do it

Record: 2-1. Change on 2019: 0.

A solid performance on both sides of the ball for Arizona this afternoon, as they beat Los Angeles in the first meeting between the two teams this season. Jon Duplantier got the start, and followed Zac Gallen yesterday with a pair of scoreless innings. Duplantier did allow a hit and a walk, but also struck out three in a 39-pitch outing. The only pitcher who encountered trouble was Matt Grace, who gave up three runs in the fourth, including a two-run home-run to former Diamondback A.J. Pollock.

Grace’s three hits allowed in that frame, were actually more than the rest of the D-backs pitching staff combined, as they held the Dodgers to two hits.
