Diamondbacks 10, Chicago Southsiders 5: This is How You Win a Baseball Game

Especially after last Saturday’s debacle, this one was fun. Coming into tonight, the Chicago White Sox were the better team by far, at least on paper. They started the night standing right atop Mount .500, with a 63-63 record. The Diamondbacks, meanwhile, were 10 games under .500, with a record of 57-67. Merrill Kelly was starting for us, which I was happy to see, because it seems like it’s been awhile since I’ve caught one of his starts, and I always find him a pleasure to watch. That said, given our bullpen woes and our Cheshire Cat offense, even a stellar Kelly start doesn’t and wouldn’t guarantee a positive outcome.
