Tonight’s game was settled in the third inning. Robbie Ray lead it off with a single of Jeff Samardzija. That was followed by singles from Pollock and Peralta, bringing Lamb to the plate. He cleared the bases thanks to a long triple that got away from Gorkys Hernandez.
That proved to be the difference on the night. Other than that, both starters were effective if not dazzling. Other than that hiccup, Shark went 6.2 solid innings. Ray went the same distance. He didn’t give up a run, and limited things to five hits. However he did give up five walks, which is hardly great.
