DENVER – For David Peralta, not making the National League All-Star team is in the very recent past. But seeing as how that still qualifies as the past, that makes it, in his mind, not worth dwelling upon.
So while his three-run home run on Tuesday night lifted the Diamondbacks to a 5-3 win over the Colorado Rockies – and while it came in his first game back in the lineup since learning he would not be going to Washington D.C. next week – it stood to reason that perhaps it meant a little something extra to Peralta.
