LOS ANGELES -- Early in Spring Training, D-backs outfielder David Peralta told anyone who would listen that one thing you could count on from him and his teammates in 2017 was there would be no quit. Moping would not be allowed. Losing games, he vowed, would not turn into losing streaks.
That was put to the test after the D-backs followed up a 6-1 homestand by losing four of their first five games on the road, including the first two of their series against the Dodgers. But the D-backs managed to regroup and beat the Dodgers in the final two games of the series, including a come-from-behind 4-2 win on Monday night.
