D-backs Add Right-Handers Dakota Chalmers and Dylan File with Minor League Signings

The Arizona Diamondbacks signed right-handers Dakota Chalmers and Dylan File to minor league contracts on January 22nd, according to their triple-A affiliate, the Reno Aces.

Chalmers, who received an invitation to spring training, was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 3rd round of the 2015 draft. He was drafted out of high school at 18 years old.

While he does not have any major league experience, Chalmers has played 7 seasons in the minors, including a few seasons in triple-A. Chalmers did not play last season after he posted an 8.31 ERA through 13 innings in 2022.
