Taijuan Walker already clinched a spot in the rotation going into 2017, so going into his final start of the spring, results probably didn’t matter much. But don’t tell him that. Walker was excellent, pitching five scoreless innings en route to a 6-3 Diamondbacks win Thursday night.

Walker allowed just 4 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts over an quiet 68 pitches. The Indians hardly threatened while he was on he mound, getting only two baserunners into scoring position.

The bullpen had some other ideas, allowing 3 runs over the final 4 IP, with the damage being done by Silvino Bracho (1/3 IP, 2 ER) and T.
