The Arizona Diamondbacks began the home series against the Tampa Bay Rays with a 5-1 win Tuesday night. Interestingly enough, the Dbacks and the Rays came into the game tonight with the exact same number of franchise wins and playoff wins as they were both expansion teams in 1998. What are the odds a series would begin with such an even franchise split?! These are the things that seem to only happen in baseball.
Offensively, Pavin Smith continues to prove the haters wrong as he hit an absolute rocket 420 feet for his 4th home run of the year in the 3rd inning.
