Quick update on the Socrates Brito situation, which Torey Lovullo addressed during the media session this morning.

That appears to make it certain he will be unavailable for Opening Day, in less than four weeks, and we’re probably looking at early June, if all goes well, before Socrates is back. In terms of a replacement, Jeremy Hazebaker and Gregor Blanco have been seeing almost the same amount of playing time so far this spring: Hazelbaker has had 23 appearances, but Blanco is just behind, on 22, and is starting today, so will thus likely overtake his rival by the end of the afternoon.
