The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed Ketel Marte on the 10-day injured list with left wrist inflammation, the team announced Wednesday.
The team also optioned LHP Joe Mantiply to the Alternate Training Site and recalled RHP Joel Payamps and INF/OF Josh VanMeter from there.
Marte is hitting .290 (47-for-162) with 13 doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI in 40 games with the Diamondbacks this season.
Mantiply has pitched in four games in his first season with Arizona.
Payamps has made one appearance for Arizona.
VanMeter was acquired from the Reds at the trade deadline in the deal that sent Archie Bradley to Cincinnati.
