101-year-old Arizona Diamondbacks superfan Dorothy throws out ceremonial first pitch

Dorothy is about five times older than the Diamondbacks' franchise. She's seen tons of pitches at Chase Field over the years, and on Wednesday, she got to throw one of her own.

Dorothy, a 101-year-old super fan, threw the second of two ceremonial pitches ahead of the Diamondbacks' afternoon game against the Pirates.

Luis Gonzalez, who is 51, played catcher for Dorothy's underhand rocket. She seemed thrilled to meet the Arizona legend, though she said during the broadcast that her all-time favorite Diamondbacks player is Stephen Drew.

Dorothy is no stranger to the limelight. In April, she was featured on A&E's "Live Rescue," which documented her receiving help from the Mesa Fire and Medical Department.
