The Arizona Coyotes cut two players today sending both Emerson Etem and Hunter Miska to the Tucson Roadrunners.
This brings the roster down to 27 players, which means cutting three more players before opening night. Jakob Chychrun will, most logically, be placed on IR so the team can carry a total of 24 players (including Chychrun) on its roster.
The Coyotes still have three goaltenders up because Antti Raanta is nursing a day-to-day injury, hopefully he will be ready by opening night. Marek Langhamer has made a case for staying up with the big club, but the back-up position is Louis Domingue’s to lose at this point.
