Raanta stops 44 shots, Coyotes get overtime point in loss to Avalanche

Antti Raanta has shown that he can he hard on himself in looking back on his performances in goal. But there wasn't much to be critical of on Wednesday night.

Raanta, starting in net as the No. 1 goalie after Darcy Kuemper was placed on injured reserve with a lower body injury on Tuesday, stopped a season high 44 shots as the Coyotes somehow salvaged a point from a 2-1 overtime loss to the Colorado Avalanche in Denver.

Gabriel Landeskog scored the overtime winner for Colorado with 38 seconds left in the extra period. But the Coyotes were able to take something away to reward their popular goalie.
