The Arizona Coyotes will lace up the skates tonight against the San Jose Sharks for their regular season opener, the start of the franchise's 25th year in the Valley.
While many players are back from last year's playoff team, the Coyotes also have a number of new faces. They added six new forwards, five of whom could see action when the puck drops at 7 p.m. at Gila River Arena.
There remained a chance that forward Lawson Crouse, one of the returning Coyotes players who was unavailable for practice Wednesday and Thursday morning due to NHL COVID protocols, could play.
