It wasn’t long ago when we were trying to figure out how the Coyotes would be able to fit each of their centers into a lineup.
It was a challenging puzzle to solve at the time, but the depth that once appeared superfluous just might be what prevents the Coyotes from another disastrous start to the season.
The injuries to Alex Galchenyuk and Christian Dvorak will hurt the Coyotes any way you cut it. Any team that loses its second and third-line centers for a period of time would feel that loss. Neither injury is expected to be long term, but the Coyotes will still have to find a way to fill the gaps to start the season.
