After having a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety, the verdict is on what punishment Arizona Coyotes winger Jason Zucker would receive for boarding Florida Panthers forward Nick Cousins last night.
Zucker will be suspended for the next three games for the Coyotes.
In the 4-1 loss for Arizona, Cousins hit Juuso Välimäki while Välimäki was on both of his knees to block the puck from exiting the Coyotes’ offensive zone.
As a response, Zucker checked Cousins from behind. Instantly, Cousins face hit the glass before dropping to the ice immediately after.
