Injuries might have defined Coyotes' season, but there's more to the story

In the case of the Coyotes’ 2018-19 season, it was far more about the journey than the destination.

The Coyotes had been picked by many in training camp to be a bubble team capable of 85-90 points and teetering on the edge of playoff contention. Although they faced arguably the worst injury situation in the league, the Coyotes still managed to pick up 86 points and finish four points out of the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

All in all, the Coyotes ended up around where the projections said they would. How they got there, however, is a different story.
