Tyler Pitlick will soon be on the same ice where he scored his first career NHL goal.
It wasn’t anything flashy nor laced with high drama, but no one ever forgets their first, even if it was seven years ago at what was then known as Jobing.com Arena.
Pitlick was 21 years old, skating for the Edmonton Oilers against the Arizona Coyotes in an early-season game.
“I missed the shot originally, and then I whacked it and luckily it went through Mike Smith’s legs,” Pitlick said last Friday, the day the Coyotes signed him to a two-year contract in free agency.
