The Arizona Coyotes have a problem. They have been playing well, but they just can’t seem score. And unfortunately it doesn’t matter how much a team controls the pace of the game, or outshoots their opponents, you need to score more goals than the other team to win the game.
In their most recent game, the Coyotes faced off against the Boston Bruins and played extremely well. They outshot the Bruins 35-26, won 65% of their faceoffs, and had a perfect penalty kill. Unfortunately, a late first period goal from Brad Marchard would be all that was needed as Jaroslav Halak was perfect and shut out the Desert Dogs.
