The Arizona Coyotes looked to end a three game losing streak against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals. There was a lot of reason to doubt the Coyotes could win the game. It was the second game of a back to back, and the team was down their starting goaltender, but the Coyotes dug deep and outworked the Capitals for a 4-1 victory.
Arizona beat the Capitals in the same way they have found success throughout the season. Great goaltending with Darcy Kuemper stopping 30 of 31 shots in one of the few games where the Coyotes were outshot.
