Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson was fined $5,000 by NHL Player Safety for his altercation with Colorado Avalanche forward Sven Andrighetto on Saturday in Denver.
The amount of the fine is the maximum allowable under the current collective-bargaining agreement. Ekman-Larsson was penalized for slashing on the play.
