The way John Farinacci has played in the high-profile International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship tournament, there seems little doubt that the Arizona Coyotes hockey operations staff will tune in to Tuesday night's gold medal game.
Farinacci, a third-round draft pick of the Coyotes in 2019, has already caught the attention of Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong. Through six games at the IIHF World Juniors, Farinacci has five goals and two assists as the center of Team USA's third line.
Farinacci, 19, scored in the USA's 4-3 semifinal win over Finland Monday night, and his goal helped set up a title game in Edmonton against always-loaded Team Canada.
