The Coyotes' first-round pick Barrett Hayton will make the club's Opening Night roster, Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and John Chayka confirmed to The Republic on Monday.
Look for Hayton to fill one of the club's open center spots while injured middles Alex Galchenyuk and Christian Dvorak are out with injury. Neither Galchenyuk nor Dvorak are expected to miss a significant amount of time, however.
Hayton, 18, was the fifth overall pick in June and was signed to a three-year, entry-level deal in July. He can play a maximum of nine games before burning the first year on that deal.
