Darcy Kuemper injured in Arizona Coyotes' loss to Minnesota Wild

What the heck was that?

That was what most folks were asking themselves after the Coyotes dropped a lopsided 8-5 decision to the Minnesota Wild on Thursday at Gila River Arena.

Yes, the score was 8-5.

Coyotes goaltender Darcy Kuemper, who allowed seven of those goals, posted another miserable performance against his former team. Even worse for the Coyotes is that he left the game with an undisclosed injury in the third period.

Kuemper stretched to his right to make a save and his body went flat on the ice. He signaled for the official to stop play as Coyotes training staff hustled to check on the goaltender, who has been one of the best in the NHL for the last calendar year.
