The Arizona Coyotes made what is likely their final pick of the 2020 NHL draft, selecting Macdonald, Manitoba native Ben McCartney.
McCartney is a left wing who has spent the last three seasons playing with the Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL. Last season he played in 61 games and had a career-high 25 goals and 36 assists and was second in points behind Luka Burzan.
With McCartney, the Coyotes have a player with decent size. He is 6’0” and listed at 185-pounds. While he isn’t huge, he likely won’t have many issues adjusting to a more physical professional game.
