Coyotes snap skid with win over Flyers

PHILADELPHIA – After dropping their first five games on the road, the Coyotes managed to salvage the finale Thursday by holding off the Flyers 5-4 at Wells Fargo Center.

Tied at 2 in the third, Flyers winger Brayden Schenn laid out defenseman Michael Stone in the neutral zone as Stone led the rush.

Defenseman Jakob Chychrun immediately challenged Schenn to a fight, and as the two duked it out along the boards, Stone’s pass ended up with center Martin Hanzal, who finished off a give-and-go with winger Max Domi at 6:31 to make it 3-2 Coyotes.

Chychrun was issued a two-minute penalty for instigating, a five-minute fighting major and a 10-minute misconduct for instigating.
