Coyotes Sign Wood to Entry-Level Contract

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed defenseman Kyle Wood to a three-year entry-level contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 19-year-old Wood has recorded 8-31-39 with a plus- 12 rating in 49 games with the North Bay Battalion (OHL). The 6-foot-5, 223-pound native of Waterloo, Ontario has collected 27-66-93 in 165 career OHL games.

Wood was acquired by the Coyotes in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche on February 29, 2016 and was originally drafted by the Avalanche in the third round (84th overall) in the 2014 Entry Draft.
