When he was recalled by the team on Nov. 26, the Coyotes felt as if there wasn’t much more their top prospect Dylan Strome could do to prove he should be skating with the big club. The 20-year-old center skated with the Coyotes in the first two games of the season but was sent to the team’s AHL affiliate in Tucson to refine his game.
While with the Roadrunners, Strome tallied eight goals and 18 assists for a 1.73 points per game pace that was tops in the league. Playing on a line with fellow former first-round picks and 20-year-old prospects Nick Merkley and Lawson Crouse, Strome was dominant.
