Coyotes select Ivan Prosvetov with 114th pick

GM Chayka desided he was going to keep making moves on day two of the draft, either because he wasn’t impressed with the third round of the draft or because he thought that the later half of the draft was deeper. The Yotes traded the 74th overall pick to Chicago for the 87th and 142nd picks and then flipped the 87th pick to San Jose for 114 and 145.

With the 114th overall pick the Coyotes elected to draft a goaltender, their first goaltender of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Ivan Prosvetov. The 6’ 5” native of Moskva Russia spent last season with the Youngstown Phantoms, playing in 36 games and finishing with a 2.
