Mike Smith will get the start between the pipes on Thursday against the Stars, Sarah McLellan of AZ Central Sports reports. Since coming back from his lengthy injury layoff, Smith has been sensational, going 4-1 with a 1.20 GAA and a .965 save percentage since his return. He'll have his hands full against the Stars' high-powered offense.
Shane Doan (concussion) joined his teammates on the ice for practice Wednesday and is expected to return to action against the Stars on Thursday.
