It was the biggest game of the season for the Arizona Coyotes. A win against the Colorado Avalanche would push them forward and allow Arizona to control their destiny. But while a 3-2 shootout loss doesn’t mean that the Coyotes are officially eliminated from contention, the chances that the Coyotes will make the playoffs are a lot slimmer.
A consistent problem for the Coyotes this season has been the lack of a consistent offense and a struggling power play. They were given numerous chances to score on the power play but failed to find the back of the net.
