Antti Raanta swears he’s not thinking about it, even though the Coyotes goalie knows he can’t get it out of his head. That would be impossible.
It’s what happens when an NHL team trades for you with the expectation that you’re ready to become a No. 1 goalie, only you haven’t yet been able to fully prove it and you happen to be in the last year of your contract.
“It’s not really on my mind. I just try to play every game as good as possible and usually after a game, if you gave your team a chance to win, that’s really all you can focus on,” Raanta said Wednesday after the Coyotes practiced at Gila River Arena in preparation for Thursday night’s game against the visiting Dallas Stars.
