The Arizona Coyotes started tonight’s game with a bang. They had a strong first period, taking a commanding lead against the Los Angeles Kings.
It startled with a fairly innocent-looking play. The Coyotes forced a turnover in the defensive zone and passed the puck up ice. Conor Garland took the puck down low and passed it up to Michael Bunting, who fired it home.
And then the penalties started happening.
If you had turned on your TV during the first period, odds are you would have seen a team on the power play.
