The Coyotes always seem to get shafted by the schedule, and their gauntlet of games to open the 2019-20 season doesn't appear any different.
Outside of the regular-season opener against the Anaheim Ducks, a 2-1 road loss on Thursday, the Coyotes had a stretch of six-straight 2018-19 playoff teams beginning with the club's home opener against the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
The Bruins have historically given the Coyotes trouble, whether in Glendale or Boston, and the Bruins came away with a 1-0 win in front of a sellout crowd of 17,125 at Gila River Arena to put the Coyotes at 0-2 on the season.
