On the back of their worst 6 game start in franchise history (0-5-1), the Arizona Coyotes desperately needed urgency, goal scoring and stability in net. They got a mixture of that, just not all at the same time and certainly not for 60 minutes.
And as a result, Arizona fell 4 goals to 5 against the Dallas Stars, dropping to a depressing 0-6-1 record to open the season. Tonight’s game appeared to follow the same pattern of events we’ve encountered a few times before this season: Arizona take an early lead and then begin to cruise, allowing their opposition to wrestle back control of the match.
