Frustration has set in for both the Arizona Coyotes and the Anaheim Ducks in the latest stretch.
But the Coyotes decided enough was enough after Matias Maccelli tied the game with 34 seconds left in the third period to send the game into overtime. Maccelli once again came through in overtime when he set up Barrett Hayton as the Coyotes regained its magic in a 5-4 win at Mullett Arena.
Saturday’s matchup created an opportunity for both teams to get rid of its ongoing woes with both teams holding nine-game losing streaks.
The Coyotes (28-39-13) have two more games remaining at Mullett Arena to end the season and hold the sixth-worst record in the league, sitting one point ahead of the Montreal Canadiens.
