The Coyotes’ general manager post has been vacant for barely a week, but the position could be filled soon.
“I wouldn’t be shocked if we have some form of an announcement next week or the week thereafter,” President, CEO and co-owner Anthony LeBlanc said.
Since dismissing Don Maloney last Monday with two years remaining on his contract, the Coyotes have been searching for a replacement and have had “multiple discussions with multiple individuals,” LeBlanc said, while also exploring how the entire hockey operations arm of the organization could advance with the addition.
“There’s more to it in our minds than the hiring of a GM.
