Coyotes acquire Archibald from Penguins

The Arizona Coyotes made a trade before tonight’s deadline for the league wide holiday roster freeze. The Coyotes acquired right wing Josh Archibald, goaltender Sean Maguire and a 2019 sixth-round draft pick from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for goaltender Michael Leighton and 2019 fourth-round draft pick.

Coyotes fans may remember the 5-foot-10 Archibald from when he scored his first NHL career goal against Mike Smith last season. Archibald is a 25-year-old native of Regina, SK, Canada and has a record of 3-0-3 in 14 regular season games played with the Penguins.
